If you can’t find your question in the list below for our
wine tours, send us a message using the contact form.
Q: What days and times do the tours take place?
A: Our tours take place from Monday to Sunday, from 9am to 5pm, according to a pre-established schedule accessible online. If, however, the slots offered do not correspond to your availability, please contact me so that we can see if a solution is possible.
Q: What are the different tours you offer?
A: We offer 5 different tours.
“The best of everything” covers the history, views, wine, and people of the Willamette Valley.
The Willamette Valley Early History covers the oldest vineyards, oldest wineries, and deepest stories.
Newer History and Developments: Trace the evolution of the valley and the cult figures who have made it one of the top wine regions in the world!
Winemaking Diversity and Equity: Learn about the history of the valley while meeting the women and minorities re-writing the story of winemaking in the valley.
AVA Specific: Travel to four different AVA’s all in one day! See some of the most historic wineries while also tracing the beautiful landscape that unfolds from one viticultural area to another.
Q: What is included in the price of the tours?
A: Our tours are priced at four wineries per day with a lunch allowance at one of Willamette Valley’s cult sandwich shops. Your transportation is a BRAND-NEW plug-in hybrid Volvo XC90 with all the trimmings and your chauffeur will be a published author, graduate school professor, and Pinot historian. He will accompany you and ensure that you learn everything there is to know about Oregon and Pinot noir, as well as just about everything else that falls under the umbrella of “World History.”
Q: At what time of the year do you offer visits to the vineyards?
A: We offer our tours all year round, excluding public holidays.
Q: What is the best time of year to go on a tour?
A: It depends on which season you prefer! The vineyards in Fall in the Willamette valley are stunning!
Q: How many people do you accept per visit?
A: Single tours are available, but we usually hold between 2-9 per tour.
Q: Do you do tours for groups?
A: Yes. We offer tours for groups of up to nine people. If you require a larger capacity, please contact us for more information.
Q: Do I need to book? How far in advance?
A: Yes, you must book your visit and/or tasting. It is possible to book the day before for the next day, as long as places are still available. Nevertheless, we operate on a ‘first come, first served basis, so we advise you to book as soon as you know your availability.
Q: The dates I am interested in do not appear on the online booking calendar.
A: They are probably no longer available, but call or email us, just in case!
Q: What happens if it rains? Is the tour canceled or postponed?
A: No. In this case, we adapt the content of the visit: we do the visit of the cellar and/or the tasting before leaving in the vineyards. If the tasting is to be done in the vineyards, we retreat indoors to enjoy warmth in the tasting room or in front of the fireplace at the entrance of the cellar. In any case, we ask participants to equip themselves accordingly: boots, umbrella, etc.
Q: What can you recommend we do during our stay in the area?
A: The Willamette Valley has so much to offer, aside from world-renowned wines, the Willamette Valley’s natural beauty lends itself perfectly to outdoor activities. Cycling, kayaking, hiking, waterfalls, wildflowers, and spectacular fall colors can complement a wine and beer tasting, shopping, and local gastronomy itinerary.
